Mr. Fathul Bari is working as lecturer at the Department of Zoology, University of Chitral. He graduated from the historic Islamia College Peshawar. Later, he earned M.Phil. in Wildlife Ecology, from the Department of Animal Science, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad.
Before joining the Department of Zoology, UoCh, he worked as Research Associate with the Snow Leopard Foundation Pakistan. He has extensive experience in community-based conservation activities. He has also gathered vast experience in field surveys and wildlife census in the northern region of Pakistan. He also contributed to the development of management plan for the Karakoram Pamir Landscape, one of the priority landscapes for snow leopard conservation. Additionally, he is dealing the affairs of Wildlife and Ecosystem Research Cell, Deptt; of Zoology, University of Chitral, acting as In-charge of the cell.
As a researcher he is interested in wildlife & natural resource management in the mountain ecosystem and the underlying conservation issues. He studies wildlife and their conservation issues coupling non-invasive survey techniques and social survey tools. Contributing to several megaprojects, he also has gained experience in environmental impact assessment of developmental projects.
